Just under an hour's train ride from the center of Berlin, in the town of Oranienburg, is the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, what was the 'model camp' of the Third Reich.

During the guided tour you will be accompanied by an experienced Italian guide certified by the pedagogical department of the memorial and you will learn about one of the darkest pages of contemporary European history.

A moving experience that will allow you to learn more about what Nazism was precisely where it expressed itself in the most terrible and ruthless way.

The Sachsenhausen concentration camp was built by the Nazis to exploit and assassinate political dissidents, Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, prisoners of war, Jehovah's Witnesses, and socialists. More than 200,000 people have been deported to this camp and many thousands of them have been killed

During our guided tour, lasting 6 hours including the round trip, you will learn about the terrible events that took place in the camp, the terrible conditions to which the prisoners were subjected and the reprehensible behavior of the Nazi tormentors.

Important Information

• The tour is done on foot and by public transport. A valid daily public transport ticket for ABC zones is required. The ticket price is not included in the cost of the tour.

• All participants must pay 3€ in cash at the meeting point as a donation requested by the Memorial from the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. The amount will be fully donated to the Memorial
