More than two decades after the end of the GDR, there are still many historic sights that I would like to show you. That is why I invite you to travel back in time to the East German past, in true style with my GDR classic car, the legendary Barkas minibus called “Erich”, and take you to mysterious places of remembrance. The city tour focuses on historic Berlin with Alexanderplatz, the Nikolaiviertel, Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate and government district, as well as stops on our trip, as well as the tour the last GDR command center (border watchtower) on the Berlin Wall. One of the highlights of this tour is a walk through the historic “Invalidenfriedhof” (border cemetery), there are not only graves of great personalities such as: Manfred von Richthofen “The Red Baron”, Gerhard von Scharnhorst (great Prussian military reformer) and others, there are also graves of former NS “greats” such as: Rudolf Schmundt (chief adjutant of Hitler), Ernst Uformer (fighter aircraft) and others, as well as remnants of the original “Berlin Wall”. The famous Bernauer Straße with its original border strip, escape tunnel and watchtower is of course not to be missed. Full of curiosity, join me on an interesting and exciting city tour
through Berlin.
